Today, a nurse has the role of a full member of the health care team with autonomous expertise, moral and legal responsibility in accordance with the ethical guidelines of the profession and within the competences assigned to them by the Chamber of Nurses and Technicians of the Canton Sarajevo. Competencies precisely define the rights, duties, and responsibilities of nurses/technicians in their work field, thus providing clear information to the public and employers about what to expect from nurses. According to the recommendations of the International Council of Nurses, key nurse competencies include caring for sick people, advocating for patients' needs and rights, ensuring a safe working environment, research work, participation in health policymaking, management, and education.
The course will be organized through three modules within the courses:
• General education classes
• Professional-theoretical classes and practical classes
• Optional classes
