Nurse/technician

Today, a nurse has the role of a full member of the health care team with autonomous expertise, moral and legal responsibility in accordance with the ethical guidelines of the profession and within the competences assigned to them by the Chamber of Nurses and Technicians of the Canton Sarajevo. Competencies precisely define the rights, duties, and responsibilities of nurses/technicians in their work field, thus providing clear information to the public and employers about what to expect from nurses. According to the recommendations of the International Council of Nurses, key nurse competencies include caring for sick people, advocating for patients needs and rights, ensuring a safe working environment, research work, participation in health policymaking, management, and education.

Dental technician

Dental Technician is engaged in the production of substitutes and aids in dentistry. This primarily refers to the production of tooth replacements or parts of teeth in the form of making dental crowns, upgrading teeth and bridges, and making partial and complete dentures, but also to the production of aids for correcting anomalies in the growth of teeth and jaws. Each replacement or device is made and designed separately, according to the needs of a particular patient and based on the imprint and requirement obtained from the dentist.

Pharmacy technician

The education of a pharmaceutical technician in the field of health in the system of secondary education aims for students to acquire knowledge and skills for work in the field of health institutions such as pharmacies, pharmaceutical and cosmetic industry, and laboratories.

Dental nurse/technician

The dental nurse/technician assists the dentist to perform the following tasks: repairs, treatment, tooth extraction, etc. The work of the dental nurse / technician begins with the reception of patients and continues with the preparation or disposal of the workplace, mixing materials, sterilization of instruments and disinfection, management of administration, requisition of materials and maintenance of appliances.

Physiotherapy technician

Physiotherapists work with patients of all ages and with a variety of health conditions, including musculoskeletal injuries, neurological disorders, respiratory problems, and sports injuries. They use various methods such as massage, therapeutic exercises, electrotherapy, hydrotherapy, and other techniques to help patients reduce pain, improve mobility and body functionality.

Psychogeriatric nurse/technician

A psycho-geriatric nurse specialize in working with geriatric patients. The psycho-geriatric provides support and care to elderly patients suffering from mental illnesses such as dementia, depression, or anxiety.

Obstetric and gynecological nurse/technician

Obstetric-gynaecological nurse/technician is a health worker who provides obstetric-gynaecological care, takes care of the health of pregnant women during pregnancy, during childbirth and after childbirth, provides support, monitors the health status of pregnant women / mothers, and also educates and gives advice regarding pregnancy, preservation of health, preparation for childbirth and care for the baby after childbirth, takes all preventive and necessary measures in risky situations, and implements prescribed and necessary measures of health care and care for pregnant women and children.
