The aim of the European Medical College of SSST University is to create a more advanced, dynamic form of education appropriate to the demands and needs of the 21st century global job market, through the application of best practices from the local community and around the world.
Secondary education is positioned as a segment of special public interest in Bosnia and Herzegovina, the European Medical College of the University SSST will base its teaching on modern achievements of science, technology, on modern pedagogical theory and practice, humanism, and ethics, and will put into operation the training of young people to ensure the conditions for their professional development. The European Medical College of SSST University will offer an alternative plan and program for all majors that will differ in certain segments from the existing curricula and programs applied in other schools that train secondary school medical personnel.
The seven courses we offer are created on principles that allow our students to become educated and self-aware young people who are motivated to succeed by building their critical thinking skills, and ability to solve complex problems. We are determined to offer best possible education offering state of the art laboratory equipment and modern classrooms which would enable our students to fulfil their potentials and achieve the best possible results.
The European Medical College of SSST University will offer bilingual education, either as a) native language (Bosnian/Croatian/Serbian) with English language or b) native language (Bosnian/Croatian/Serbian) with English and Arabic/German language. Combined natural sciences, graphic design, informatics, and artificial intelligence, classes will be taught in English language, while other subjects will be in the mother tongue.
A regular academic/professional evaluation of the quality of lectures will be introduced for teachers and lecturers.For successful students, financial assistance will be provided in proportion to the effort and success they will show in the process of education.
In addition to traditional high school subjects, we have proposed innovations by introducing programs from the basics of artificial intelligence, the program of informatics has been expanded with the introduction of certain tools in information technologies (IT) and digitization, and the program of fine arts is supplemented by the program of graphic design.
In the past 20 years, SSST University has developed laboratory facilities in medical and IT fields, including University polyclinic, in accordance with world standards.
This will allow prospective students at the European Medical College SSST University (which groups all seven majors), to spend large portion of their time in experimental work, which will give them the further opportunity to choose employment either in state or private health care.
